The main trail venue for the inland operation is the Pilanesberg National Park near Rustenburg in the North West Province. Other venues include the following:
   Marakele National Park, Limpopo
   Loskop Nature Reserve
   Songimvelo Game Reserve. Mpumalanga, and
   Borakalalo Game Reserve, North West
The inland school's trails range from two-night 'entry level' to weeklong 'advanced-primitive' (backpacking) in both Big Five and non Big Five areas. There is therefore a gradient of trails ranging from one-day specialist outings (birding, animal behaviour, spoor and sign, etc.), camping in an area with day walks, through to backpacking for the duration of the trail. Trails can be as long as nine days.

Core operations carried out by the inland school are as follows:
Sponsored wilderness trails for previously disadvantaged communities.
Each year take Rotary International Exchange Students out on trail.
Wilderness Leadership School - Inland conducts monthly foot patrols for the North West Province in Pilansberg.
Selected and trained guides as leaders for trails as part of the Imbewu Project in Kruger Park.
Trained participants on the Environmental Training Group programme. Recently the school worked with ANT (African Nature Training) by teaching 'trail mechanics'.
Trails for political and business leaders, including youth leaders as well as other corporate institutions and religious groups.
   Wilderness healing trails.
Action parties where volunteers, coming from our trails, work to restore areas of wilderness.
Business Leadership. This is where tertiary institutions and larger corporations for business and leadership lessons drawn from the wilderness.
